These rough opal cage necklaces are handcrafted from sterling silver and natural (rough and uncut) pieces of Welo opal from Ethiopia. They have flashes of color that are beautiful but difficult to capture on camera (best in natural sunlight!).

Each stone is trapped in a triangular pyramid shaped cage that has been hand constructed and soldered from sterling silver wire. These are natural, rough gemstones and will have imperfections. Some have a bit of natural sandy matrix still attached to the gemstone.

SIZE and LENGTH:

These pendants are about 20mm with varying opal sizes, and the chains are 18 inches long (about 46 cm). The sterling silver has been oxidized and brush polished to give the metal a rustic patina.
