These Herkimer diamond cage necklaces are handcrafted from sterling silver and genuine quartz crystals from Herkimer County, New York. Although double pointed crystals are found elsewhere in the world, Herkimers are known for their clarity.

This raw gemstone cage design is very versatile and can be worn with many different outfits- both casual and dressy. Herkimer Diamonds are also fantastic alternative birthstones for April birthdays!

These crystals are trap-set in a handcrafted, soldered cage setting made for their individual shape. They are allowed to wiggle a bit in its cage, but will not come loose. These are natural crystals and may contain small imperfections with overall beautiful clarity. All of the sterling silver is oxidized to a dark patina to contrast the clear stone.

SIZE: These Herkimer Diamonds are 8-11mm long. I consider these to be "small" for this type of crystal in my designs.

LENGTH: The chain included is 18 inches long (about 46 cm) and ends in a pair of wire wrapped beads. If you require a shorter chain, please leave me a note at checkout so that I can make adjustments. Longer chains are available at an additional cost, but please contact me before purchasing if you would like to request one!

Herkimer Authenticity:

Herkimer Diamonds are specific to Herkimer County in New York only. There are many double pointed quartz crystals from other parts of the world that are incorrectly advertised as Herkimer Diamonds when they are actually from Pakistan, Tibet, etc. At Lithic Design, anything labeled “Herkimer Diamond” will ALWAYS be authentic from Herkimer, NY.
